In September, we will be bidding farewell to many dramas, some that we have learnt to love and other that we are quite indifferent to. The same month also marks the arrival of a fresh batch of dramas ready to entertain us with more tales of love, trust and deceit.
One of these dramas is ‘Muhabbat Jaye Bhar Main’. This is the story of Neeli who likes to live in a fantasy world. She lives engulfed in her own little cocoon, indifferent to what is happening around her. Neeli’s mother keeps introducing a new child to the family every year and her health continues to falter and deteriorate. While the mother is ageing, the father is busy keeping himself healthy and fit, so as to keep any options of infidelity open. He starts having an affair with Neeli’s friend who is enjoying all the attention directed towards her. Neeli meanwhile continues with her flirtatious antics and remains oblivious to whatever is happening around her because her world begins and ends with a new love interest every few months.
The drama stars film actress Resham, Sajjal, Adnan Siddiqui, Imran Aslam and others. It is directed by Mazhar Moin and is written by Fasih Bari.
Another drama that is about to start soon is titled ‘Madiha aur Maliha’. This is the story of two sisters who develop a liking for the same man. One of the sisters succeeds in her attempts to catch his attention and ends up getting married to him. This comes as a shock for the other sister and she fails to recover from the setback. This is the reason why she fails to save her own marriage and ends up living with her sister. Once back infront of the man she loves, a fire ignites once again and that is where the story takes off from. The cast includes Junaid Khan, Zhalay Sarhadi, Urwa, Bader Khalil, Azra Aftab and others. ‘Madiha aur Maliha’ is directed by Roomi Insha and is written by Dilawar Khan.
It seems the fresh lot of dramas revolves around sisters only. Another story that shows the lives of two sisters is titled ‘Aks’. This is the story of two sisters, who in their youth were torn apart both in relations and emotions, because of a lack of trust and false accusations. A conflict that later on is transferred to their children, forcing an already troubled family into further despair.
The drama stars Zhalay Sarhadi, Mohib Mirza, Saba Hameed, Ayeza Khan, Naila Jaffery and others. It is directed by Nadeem Siddique and is written by Sarwat Nazir.
Savera Nadeem is all set to cast her magic in ‘Bari Aapa’. The story is about a rigid, stern and extremely brave woman who has won the title of Bari Aapa in her family. Her husband is very afraid of her but even then has married behind her back. Her daughter too has her own set of problems. She is facing opposition from her for the man she loves and wants to get married to. This is a story of about how Bari Aapa accepts adversity and change throughout her life. ‘Bari Aapa’ is written by Sameera Fazal and stars Noman Ejaz, Savera Nadeem, Sarah Khan, Ayesha Khan, Jibran, Sajida Syed, Madiha Rizvi, Arjumand Rahim, Waqas Khan, Fahad Mirza and Mustafa Changazi.
With so much masala and even more to come, I doubt if there would be any dearth of entertainment this season. We have said goodbye to ‘Meri Ladli’, ‘Bilquees Kaur’ and many others hoping to find something better ahead!
