Goher Mumtaz, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Pakistani rock band ‘Jal’, has said that he always wanted to become an actor and he would love to work for the Bollywood industry, if given a chance.

The albums ‘Aadat’ and ‘Boondh’ were liked a lot by the audiences and now ‘Jal’ is all set to release its third music album ‘Piyaas’ next month in India and Pakistan.

Goher, on his recent visit to India, was interviewed by DT of ‘Times of India’ at the ‘Times House’ and the star said he always feels very good whenever he visits India. He said he hardly finds any difference between Delhi and Lahore.

Goher, who last visited India in September to perform a concert in Kolkata, said, “It’s always a joy to perform in India. There is no difference between Lahore and Delhi.”

During the interview Goher insisted that he is a huge fan of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and it would be a dream come true for him, if he gets a chance to work with him. He further stated that like many other Pakistanis he has also grown up watching Bollywood films.

He said, “I have done lot of stage performances. I’m a huge fan of Aamir Khan and would like to meet him some day. I have also been offered two Bollywood movies, but haven’t finalised anything as of now.

He added, “Inshallah mauka mile toh woh bhi kar lenge. I have grown up watching Bollywood movies and my dream was always to become an actor. Woh toh pata nahi main kis tarah se music main ghuss gaya.”

Well, Goher is not going to be the first Pakistani artist to work in Bollywood, as several Pakistani artists are already working in the industry like ‘Veena Malik’, ‘Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’, ‘Adnan Sami’ and ‘Atif Aslam’. Nevertheless, let’s see if Goher also gets a chance to get into the second biggest filmmaking industry of the world.
