Manjali with beautifully written dialogues that are sour and sugar coated at the same time is ‘Manjali’. No wonder the dialogues are really good but they are too unreal as hardly anyone talks like that, but since it’s only a drama we can live with it. Wahab Ahmed is the evil character in this drama being the father of two daughters he still goes off and marries Maina, a beautiful girl with evil intensions. All she wants from Wahab Ahmed is his money that he is so willing to spend on her. On the other hand his daughter Tooba wants to marry her cousin Ramis who has passed all the tests of love, from beating the neighborhood bully to eating broken glass, he has proved that he could go to any extent to prove his love for Tooba. On the other hand spoilt brat Taimoor has also given his heart to this beauty clad in a dupatta and wants to marry her at any cost. When Tooba’s father finds out that Taimoor is interested in her daughter, money starts twinkling in front of his eyes and he cannot hear no as an answer from Tooba. But Tooba’s mother, Zareena Bibi, has her own set of plans and she asks Ramis to marry Tooba and run away. Just when Ramis is preparing to take Tooba with him, Wahab Ahmed sends men to beat him up, so much that he loses his memory. While Tooba waits for Ramis in her bridal dress, he gets beaten up and ends up unconscious in a hospital with no identity. For Tooba, Ramis has failed the final test of love as she thinks he has chickened out, little does she know her lover is lying comatose in a hospital bed. Will Tooba wait for Ramis to come back or will she marry Taimoor Mirza, oblivious to the fact that Ramis’ love was true?
