Anyone who ever claimed that reality television cannot be made in Pakistan was proved wrong with Nachle. Season four made a very good start with auditions held in all major cities of the country to hunt for the best talent. Despite having high expectations from the show this season I was stunned to see some of the performances in last week’s episode. The choreography was excellent and so was the ambiance, the judges were left speechless after almost every performance. The performances were good and one of the anchors, Waqar Zaka made it a point to mention all local television channels that air Indian dance shows.
A very funny blooper was made during the show, one that was not edited out. Sofia Mirza, the anchor of the show was so excited after a particular performance, she blurted out “ye aysi performance thi jis ne judges ko ‘standing AVIATION’ deyney per majboor ker diya” (This was a performance that made the judges give a standing ‘AVIATION’). The host did notice that something was not quite right in the sentence but she let it go nevertheless. What a shame that this hilarious blooper was not edited out and Sofia Mirza might just end up standing alongside Meera when it comes to speaking English!
